I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I myself had a wonderful Thanksgiving break, it started with a group of fantastic friends coming over to our apartment for the dinner on Thursday; slept in on Friday; visited Museum of Natural History on Saturday and more get together in the evening; slept more in on Sunday (humm.. it just occurred to me that it was the first time I get to sleep in after I had a child, that was 4 years ago!).
On Saturday before we went to visited the museum, we went to a shoe store for Ev and got the most fantastic shoes. I absolutely love it and so does Ev (not so much for my husband, old school type). The saleswoman asked Ev whether he had too much turkey for Thanksgivings, and he said no. Well, because Ev never had turkey before, first of all, for the whole month of November, he has been singing Thanksgivings song about turkey has to run away because Thanksgiving is coming, second of all, we don't like tasteless meat, forget about dryness. Not a big fan. So we had pot roast. It turned out to be pretty good.
So today is the last day of this mini vacation at home. Ev and I made blueberry muffins in the morning! I had so much fun in the past few days and I had a revelation- I want to spend time with whom I want to spend with. There are already too many obligations in life and spending time on holiday should not be one of them.
