Holiday

I was so happy to receive a tin of cookies from my dear friend, Lee, last week.  It was so fantastic and for me, it is the ultimate joy to receive homemade goodies.  When she starts her cookies business,  I will definitely let you all know!

The homemade cookies also inspired me to take chocolate truffles making class.  After intense 3 hours truffle making class by slowly heating butter, cream, sugar together and pouring into cocoa, then waiting for it to melted together, then stirring and then chilled, then scraping, making into ball, then coating with tempered cocoa and chilled again and adding another layer.  It was amazing to have freshly made truffles and now I really appreciate the efforts that small batched chocolatier put into for making such amazing truffles.

Maybe it is impossible to buy everything made small batched by some artisans, but I appreciate the beauty of handmade, homemade or small batched goods.  It is the way I connect with other humans by knowing their hands have touched it and knowing that the love they put into it.

Happy Holiday to all of you!
