Yesterday evening, before I picked up Ev, I went into this bakery outside of Grand Street subway station and saw that there was a bag of toast crust for sale. I was beside myself and I grabbed it right away because there might be another person just like me who is nuts about these toast crust waiting behind me. The truth is that there is no one else waiting behind me and the bakery owner probably threw those bread crusts outside to feed the pigeons at the end of the day. Those lucky bastard. I love those toast crusts.
There are many things that make me very happy and toast crust is one of them and they are on the top of my list. They are firm and chewy, just the way I like it!
