First Time

This is the first year we painted the eggs for the Easter.  I boiled 18 eggs (might be too overboard) for Ev and his two other friends.  Also, my first time ever painting eggs,  and it was actually fun to paint on this porous surface!  I had to make the eggs into soy sauce based eggs later, otherwise, I just can't eat those colored eggs.

I love 3 days weekend especially spring is here and we are able to venture outside.  We took the bus up to the Cloister.  Also my first time there.  This museum is perfect for a little child because it is not big and it has all kinds of animal paintings, sculptures, tapestry arts on display with a little garden.  Guess what fascinating Ev the most, unicorn! of course!  Cloister has seven famous unicorn tapestries on display.  After seeing all the arts, we had our little lunch at the cafe.  I wish the cafe offers more varieties of sandwich or salad.  But at least, the coffee was pretty decent.  Sitting in the sun drinking the coffee, spending time with my family and watching Ev sharing his PB&J sandwiches with the finches really made my day.

Hope you also enjoyed the long weekend!
