Making Liquor

Just made this cordial tonight and it is loosely based on the book, Japanese Farm Food.  I really like this book because the stories inside gives me the sense of farm life in Japan which I always love.   I said "loosely"based on the book because I never follow any recipe to a T.  The cordial is what traditional Japanese families make in the beginning of the summer when abundance of fruits come on the market.  I saw these pretty flavorellas (plumcot, plum size with tart yellow skin) at my local supermarket today and I just had to make this cordial.  I made with 2/3 of regular vodka and 1/3 of lemon infused vodka because I ran out of the regular one and sugars.  Now,  I have to wait at least 3 months to try it, but it can make some wonderful cold weather drinks.
