At this trip, I discovered Songshan Culture and Creative Park located near Taipei 101 where the annual marketplace, Taipei Original Festival, was set up to introduce independent artists and arts/craft show. I absolutely love the space. It was converted from an old cigarette factory. I met bag and clothing makers, jam makers, Miao Marmalade , and even ceramic artists. I was especially happy to meet the owner of a small publishing company, KK Books, where I found the printing technique in Taiwan can be so awesome!! I am so proud of being a Taiwanese!
Of course, I also went to the zoo with Ev where we always have a lot of fun. It never gets old to see camels, tigers, monkeys, pandas, elephants, hippos, and rhinos, and the best part was to have ice cream after visiting the zoo. I love Taipei Zoo!
Back to the states and the temperature is in the 30s with adjusting jet lag with a small child. Arghhhh!
